What is shown in the assignees tab?

The assignees tab displays ownership in the intellectual space, with an emphasis on overlaps in intellectual property. It is primarily used by IP and business development professionals, but medicinal chemists may find it useful as well. Clusters are shown in green, yellow, and red, to denote areas with no overlap, similarities, and overlaps, respectively. 

This overlap information is very useful for IP professionals to scan for potential interference. Not all overlaps mean interference, but they can alert you to the risk. This view is also useful for licensing professionals seeking partnerships or other deals as overlaps in the most recent IP can be indicative of areas of mutual interest. In fact, this precise type of analysis has been successfully used to find both interference and to establish joint ventures in specific areas.
