In the display on the left on the chemotypes tab, each marker represents a patent or publication for a given chemotype, which can be changed with the dropdown menu at the top of the display. Assignees appear on the Y axis of the display and years appear on the X axis.
The display in the upper right shows a timeline for all chemotypes over time. The size of the markers in this display corresponds to the number of publications by year and chemotype. This can help you understand which chemotypes were prevalent at a point in time, which are being explored now, and which have been abandoned.
In the bottom right corner, a molecular table provides details on the compounds. Selecting any markers in the displays will filter the table to show only those molecules.
The bottom left displays a timeline by assignee. This displays an evolution of any assignee’s chemistry over time. Each patent’s most common substructure, priority year, and chemotype are displayed.
